About the Author
James created his first Katie book Katie's Picture Show over twenty years ago as a way to share his enthusiasm for art with children. His series of Katie books are much-loved and respected as an early introduction to art. James lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and son.

Unsure at first...

When I first saw these "Katie" books at the library, I wasn't sure my kids would like them, but they can't get enough of them. This is the only "Katie" book our library didn't have, so I bought it as a surprise for my daughter for Christmas. I read it before I wrapped it and it was wonderful.

Probably the best of the series

My child loves this serie and this is probaly one of his favorite. The story is fascinating and the illustration is great. Great job.

Pretty good

This is a nice introduction to Vincent van Gogh's art for a young child. While the paintings are nice and printed on double page spreads, the plot isn't great, the book itself is short, and it only shows 5 paintings. I think it would be perfect for a 3-4 year old. My 6 year old seemed bored with it after one reading.
